Gene has over 30 years as a healthcare executive with P&L responsibility for health plans up to $850M revenue, a business development specialist, and an investor focused on healthcare services and managed care. He brings a vast expertise in Medicare Advantage, SNF and Long Term Care, Value-Based Care, and SaaS-based, technology-driven care management.

As chief financial officer, Amy leads all Porter’s financial activities including: accounting, cash management, FP&A, budgeting, treasury, and investment activities. Amy has over 16 years of experience as a financial leader, entrepreneur, and business executive, with the past 5 years dedicated to the healthcare technology industry. Prior to joining Porter, Amy served as CFO of Pulse8, Inc., a healthcare data analytics company focused on risk adjustment and quality for payers and at-risk providers. Before that, Amy was the 10-year-long owner of Blue Heron Bags, Inc, a designer retail canvas bag and embroidery company specializing in personalized items and gifts.

Mark has over 25 years of experience as a global technology executive across the global logistics, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and hospitality industries. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in technology strategy, architecture, engineering, and operations. Most recently, Mark served as the Chief Enterprise Architect and Vice President, Enterprise Architecture at Marriott International. Mark was responsible for transforming the technology landscape that serves over 160 million members globally. Previously, he served as the Head of Global Commercial Architecture at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, acted as a technology strategist and advisor to Pulse8, and was the CTO at BDP International.
VP, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Masha is an expert business development executive with over 14 years of experience in the customer engagement and service field within the hospital and healthcare technology industries. Having worked in various healthcare sectors, she is skilled in medical technology (electronic health records), federal regulations, program and software implementations, and business process improvement. In the last 6 years, Masha focused her efforts on the Government Programs division for payers by growing a highly esteemed team of client account executives specializing in providing cutting-edge analytics and outstanding client services to leading health care payers across the United States. As Vice President of Customer Experience and Success, Masha is accountable for facilitating ownership of client experience excellence by driving adoption, product utilization, innovation, and revenue expansion by focusing on engagement, success, retention, and business growth. Masha completed her degree at The Art Institute of California Los Angeles as a Bachelor of Science with emphasis on General Marketing & Marketing Management. Outside of work, Masha is an avid world traveler and enjoys soaking up any free moments with her husband and two little ones.
VP, INFORMATICS & ANALYTICS
Canon is a Navy veteran and alumni of the United States Naval Academy. He has a PMP as well as an MBA and MS in Analytics. After leaving the Navy and the DOD space, Canon joined Pulse8 and led the analytics and business intelligence teams. He has since led work at Procter and Gamble on the Walmart US and Walmart International teams focused on OMNI channel supply chain and sales analytics. He leads the Informatics and Data Science Team at Porter. He is also a husband and proud father.
VP, MEMBER EXPERIENCE
Kevin is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Porter’s Member and Patient Experience are designed and executed at a level that ensures consistent quality of service and optimizes member engagement and satisfaction. Kevin combines 8 years of experience in the Service and Hospitality industry with 15+ years of healthcare experience to create and drive a unique member-first focus. This experience across Urgent Care and Call Center Management, Oncology/Surgical Practice Management, administration of the Patient Satisfaction program for a highly rated regional Hospital system, and Customer Support for Health Plans and Providers positions him to provide a unique perspective to ensure an outstanding experience for Porter’s members and patients. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College of MD and holds a Trainer/Facilitator certification. Outside of work, Kevin is passionate about playing music, cooking, gardening, wood working, and spending time with his wife and two rambunctious boys (and their two wild and crazy rescue dogs).

As the Vice President of Clinical Content and Services, Chris is responsible for assuring that insights Porter provides are consistent with evidence-based principles and clinical guidelines. Chris has over 20 years of experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner as a Primary Care Provider coordinating care and providing education for thousands of patients. Over the last decade, he has also served as Health Care IT Executive with an emphasis on clinical analytics and engaging members and providers in a meaningful way impact outcomes. Chris is dedicated to making the care-at-home journey process simple and assuring Porter is making the right resources and services available at the right time for the right members.
SENIOR DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS
LaRane has spent 11 years in healthcare as an experienced executive with strategic planning and culture oversight in healthcare tech start-ups. At Porter, she works with various leadership stakeholders to effectively influence and support rapid business growth. She also manages recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and benefits administration. LaRane is a certified Lean Six Sigma Healthcare Green Belt and is currently working on a master’s in Healthcare Quality, Innovation, and Strategy at St. Thomas University. LaRane spends all her free time traveling and is a dog mom to her Frenchie Bizzy Bone.
SENIOR DIRECTOR, DATA INTEGRATION
Ryan is a Data Integration Engineer with over 6 years in the healthcare space. He loves to dig into customer data issues and solve them with modern technology. In his spare time he’s an amateur mycologist/gardener who loves nature and growing his own food.
TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER
Randy has over a 12 years of experience in product management in a variety of industries. As a senior member of the product team, he has been responsible for driving product strategy and delivery, metrics and data, and customer experience and marketing. Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and global agile development teams, Randy has successfully led the implementation of new and enhanced SaaS software platforms in the legal, financial services, and clinical research domains. Outside of work, Randy enjoys traveling, bicycling, and spending time at the beach.
Neil joins the team with two years of startup sales development experience. He recently graduated from the University of Delaware in the Honors College with a double major in Finance in Accounting. He was the Healthcare Sector Head of the Blue Hen Investment Club that currently has $4.1 MM AUM. At Porter, Neil will assist our Sales Team in innovative ways as we bring in many health plans, providers, and employer groups into our Healthsphere.
Cynthia is a trusted strategic advisor and advocate for businesses and individuals. After spending many years primarily as a litigator, her law practice expanded significantly at the request of her clients to include General Counsel services. She brings to each representation her vast experience handling a diverse array of issues. Her clients—both businesses and individuals, including fellow lawyers—come to her knowing that she will devote her full energies to their matters. Further, her familiarity and comfort with both day-to-day business issues and the courts, as well as issues that confront clients who are in the public eye, add a perspective that can be invaluable when navigating sensitive matters.
Jennifer has 12 years of healthcare experience, directly assisting patients as a medical assistant for a busy primary care practice. With primary care being the crucial backbone of our healthcare system, Jennifer has had significant exposure to a vast array of patient needs and has learned how to help them successfully navigate our disconnected healthcare system. She has a strong passion for patient care and going above and beyond to exceed expectations. Her combined experience in the service industry, real estate market, and medical field has provided a solid background to help drive Porter’s initiatives to make healthcare more transparent and efficient to transform the care-at-home journey. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys taking walks, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.
SENIOR UX/UI DESIGNER
Garrett has over 12+ years experience in product design and has been a major component in getting several tech startups to market. As Senior UI/UX Designer he is responsible for designing a modern interface and ensuring a cohesive and quality end to end user experience. Outside of work Garrett enjoys traveling, surfing, fishing and reef keeping.
Sylvia’s care manager needs to ensure she has a safe discharge home, and that she remains highly satisfied with the services she’s received at the hospital. Evaluations from Physical and Occupational Therapists indicate that Sylvia will need some items added to the curated list to help carry out activities of daily living to safely heal at home.
Sylvia accesses the curated lists of DME supplies and equipment along with the education important for her recovery, all customized to her individual needs.
Sylvia discovers the coverage status for each service and product she’s added to her marketplace cart. Sylvia's Care guides provides her with helpful information about her condition, how to use her new equipment, and what to watch out for. She updates Sylvia’s son, her care manager, and her doctor so they are in the loop.
