John has over 25 years of entrepreneurship and C-Level executive experience in the healthcare arena, building relationships across all types of payer and provider organizations – from large national insurers and BCBS plans to regional provider-owned HMOs and at-risk medical groups. He has established a career in building prosperous data-driven, end-to-end Risk Adjustment and Quality Management solutions. His advancements in analytics, care quality, and delivery have triumphantly improved Righttime Medical Care, Inovalon, and Pulse8, which he founded, led, and successfully exited. Most importantly, John has improved the care throughout the healthcare system for the members that truly need it most. He was recently recognized by The United States Patent and Trademark Office. Criswell, John, et al. Method and Apparatus for Risk Adjustment, United States Patent No.: US 11,373,248 B1.
John is a proud father, fisherman, and mountain biking extraordinaire. He earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University and his BA in Political Science with a Minor in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Chief Operating Officer
Mark brings over 30 years of Information Technology experience spanning multiple industries that encompass Global Logistics, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, and Hospitality. Mark has led a variety of technology functions including product management, engineering, architecture, and operations across Start-ups and Fortune 100 companies. Mark is accountable for all aspects of Porter’s product development, leveraging modern cloud architecture and engineering practices.
Mark resides in Gaithersburg with his Jodie and dog Jake. Mark has a daughter that lives in the area. All four of them are die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fans. Mark holds an MBA from the University of Delaware, Lerner School of Business and Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
Chief Financial Officer
Amy brings to Porter over 16 years of experience as a financial leader, entrepreneur, and business executive with the past 6+ years dedicated to the healthcare technology. Amy’s experience includes serving as CFO of Pulse8, Inc., a healthcare data analytics company focused on risk adjustment and quality for payers and at-risk providers. Amy has led 2 transactions, the 2019 sale of Pulse8 to a publicly traded company as well as the 2014 sale of her own designer retail and manufacturing canvas bag company. At Porter, Amy is responsible for all aspects of Porter’s Financial Strategy as well as the day-to-day leadership and guidance to optimal operating effectiveness of Porter.
Amy is married with adult children. She enjoys both watching and playing tennis. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of West Florida and her CPA candidate status and Financial Accounting Certification from Anne Arundel Community College and University Maryland Global Campus.
Warren brings to Porter over 30 years of healthcare business development experience. Having always worked for healthcare software or data analytics companies, Warren has a wealth of experience in Risk Adjustment, Quality Metrics, Disease Management, Specialty Pharmacy, and Claims Editing. He has sold to health plans, provider groups, and health systems – and supported customers in the Northeast, the Heartland, and the West Coast. At Porter, Warren is responsible for Sales Strategy, Tactical Marketing, Lead Generation, and, of course, New Business Sales.
Warren is married with two children – one in college, one in high school – and three dogs. He earned his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his Bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
Senior Vice President, Operations
Michael Jackson brings more than 28 years of healthcare operations and management experience to Porter. His background includes leadership roles in both large and small MSO companies, as well as involvement in the startup of a Medicare Advantage plan and care delivery organizations. This experience has given him a well-rounded, practical understanding of healthcare operations across the continuum.
In his role at Porter, Mike oversees a wide range of operational functions. He leads teams responsible for the contact center, logistics, and provider field operations, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, scalability, and performance.
Mike lives in sunny Florida with his wife and is a proud father of four and grandfather. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and fishing whenever he gets the chance.
VP, Clinical Workforce Operations
Corina has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare workforce leadership and operations. She brings expertise in workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and operational support within multi-state healthcare environments. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to building strong clinical teams through collaboration, compassion, and operational excellence.
Corina joined Porter because of its unwavering commitment to compassionate care, innovation, and putting members first. Porter’s mission aligns closely with her passion for supporting people, building strong clinical teams, and creating meaningful healthcare experiences. She values being part of an organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of its members, reflecting both her professional purpose and personal values.
Masha has over 14 years of experience in the customer engagement and service field within the hospital and healthcare technology industries. She is skilled in medical technology (electronic health records), federal regulations, program and software implementations, and business process improvement. Over the last 6 years, Masha has focused her efforts on the Government Programs division for payers by growing a highly esteemed team of client account executives specializing in providing cutting-edge analytics and outstanding client services to leading health care payers across the United States. At Porter, Masha is accountable for facilitating ownership of client experience excellence by driving adoption, product utilization, innovation, and revenue expansion.
Masha completed her degree at The Art Institute of California Los Angeles as a Bachelor of Science with emphasis on General Marketing & Marketing Management. Outside of work, Masha is an avid world traveler and enjoys soaking up any free moments with her husband and two little ones.
General Council
Cynthia is a trusted strategic advisor and advocate for businesses and individuals. After spending many years primarily as a litigator, her law practice expanded significantly at the request of her clients to include General Counsel services. She brings to each representation her vast experience handling a diverse array of issues. Her clients—both businesses and individuals, including fellow lawyers—come to her knowing that she will devote her full energies to their matters. Further, her familiarity and comfort with both day-to-day business issues and the courts, as well as issues that confront clients who are in the public eye, add a perspective that can be invaluable when navigating sensitive matters.
Jennifer, fueled by her firsthand caregiving experience and backed by over 20 years in healthcare, is a dynamic sales executive known for delivering results in payer and provider markets. She has been a driving force in the in-home care and lab testing sectors, holding pivotal roles as the Vice President of Business Development at multiple companies. With her unmatched expertise in the Medicare industry, Jennifer is poised to propel Porter’s sales team to unparalleled success.
Jennifer resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her three children. And enjoys reformer pilates, hiking, running is an avid fisherwoman and loves to travel.
Chris has over 20 years of experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner at a Primary Care Provider, coordinating care and providing education for thousands of patients. Over the last decade, he has also served as a Health Care IT Executive with an emphasis on clinical analytics and engaging members and providers in a meaningful way to impact outcomes. During his prior role as VP of Clinical Analytics at Pulse8, Chris led a 20-person development team who built from scratch an NCQA-certified HEDIS® Measurement & Reporting software system. As our VP of Clinical Content and Services, Chris is responsible for ensuring that the insights Porter provides are consistent with evidence-based principles and clinical guidelines.
Chris enjoys soaking up the Florida sun and is an avid fisherman. He served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and remains a Board-Certified FNP. Chris is married to a nurse and their son is a nurse who is also married to a nurse. To say nursing runs in the family would be an understatement.
VP, Engineering
Ryan brings over 10 years of experience in data engineering, with over 6 years dedicated to specializing in healthcare data ETL. Throughout his career, he has led successful teams at various startups and healthcare organizations. At Porter, when Ryan isn’t leading engineering, he is infusing the organization with his unparalleled humor and wit.
In his free time, Ryan delves into the worlds of mycology and gardening. He resides in Massachusetts and enjoys hiking around the suburbs of New England with his Great Dane, Lulu.
Eric has over 14 years of experience building analytic solutions in the healthcare industry. He started his healthcare career doing actuarial work for a health plan, pricing the impact of risk adjustment activities in the Medicare Advantage and ACA markets. As he gained expertise, he moved into the product space, where he built analytic products that support health plans and ACOs in navigating the risk adjustment and quality space across all markets. Most recently, his focus has been on elevating these initiatives to include SDOH, health equity, and population health. At Porter, Eric is accountable for both the internal and external analytical needs that ensure our partners can do their best work.
Eric completed his degree in Mathematics at Grand Valley State University. Outside of work, Eric enjoys adventure racing and spending time with his wife and two boys.
Fonda has over 20 years of operations management experience, with half of those years in the healthcare space. Throughout her career, she has built high-quality national practitioner networks, superior performing engagement teams, developed training and quality assurance programs, increased engagement rates, established compliant credentialing departments, and scaled processes for various companies. As Vice President of Operations at Porter, Fonda is accountable for leading operations ensuring consistent excellence of service and satisfaction.
Outside of work, Fonda enjoys time with her two young adult children and family of friends. She is an avid enthusiast of fast cars, a true crime buff, and adores discovering unique local experiences during her travels.
Canon brings over 10 years of data analytics leadership and experience to the team. After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant and serving as a contractor in Afghanistan supporting US and Allied forces, Canon joined Pulse8 and led the analytics and business intelligence teams. He then led work at Procter & Gamble on the Walmart account, focused on OMNI channel supply chain and sales analytics, before joining Porter to lead the Informatics and Data Science Team.
Canon is a Navy veteran and alumnus of the United States Naval Academy. He has a PMP as well as an MBA and MS in Analytics. He is a proud father, enjoying an active lifestyle with his fitness-fiend wife and two little girls.
Gene has a 30+ year career building health care businesses, focusing on health services companies, health plans, provider organizations, and, most recently, payment reform and value-based care initiatives in the post-acute setting for skilled nursing facilities. Gene is also an active investor in healthcare ventures, both as an individual investor and as a partner in several Private Equity funds, acting as an advisor and Board member for several portfolio companies. Gene is Chief Strategy Officer at Porter and assists the Porter team with strategy, business development, and fund-raising.
Gene is married with three grown sons and is a competitive rower, competing in regattas in the northeast and internationally. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Cornell University and a Master’s in the Management of Technology from MIT.
